What we do at Sage Sea:

Our Services Are Conveniently Online
When the rest of your life feels like chaos, as long as you have a screen and an Internet connection (even just your phone), we’ll be right here. The struggle to physically get to an office is just one less thing you’ll have to worry about. Bringing our services online creates more stability for you! Just before you’re scheduled appointment, an automated message will be sent to your inbox. All you have to do is click.

Comprehensive DBT
The Comprehensive Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) program includes two sessions per week: one for psychotherapy (aka “talk therapy”) and another for formal DBT skills training. You’ll also have access to phone coaching in between sessions, which means that you don’t have to wait a whole week when stuff hits the fan, we can talk you through the skills when you need them.

Individual Outpatient Therapy
In addition to Comprehensive DBT, our agency offers traditional outpatient treatment. Clients enrolled in these services are normally seen once per week. These counseling sessions are tailored to your individual needs and goals using a variety of modalities including, but not limited to: DBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness, Therapeutic Writing, coaching in health and wellness, and more.

Strictly The Skills
Some individuals and families want to learn DBT skills without the need for additional psychotherapy. Some already have counseling in place but want to add the skills to their current treatment plan. Our staff are happy to collaborate with outside therapists to make this happen. Individualized skills sessions allow you to go in-depth and learn at your or your family’s own pace.
Group skills training is also periodically offered here at Sage Sea DBT and allows for the additional benefit of peer support in learning the skills.

Groups
Just like the rest of our services, groups at Sage Sea conveniently take place online. Therapeutic and peer support groups are offered depending on demand and availability and last for a set number of weeks, according to the topic. Our staff have experience leading groups on topics include DBT Skills Training (of course), Caregiver Support, Intro to Mindfulness and Meditation, Parenting, Grief and Loss, and more. Interested in a particular topic? Let us know!

Outpatient Addiction Treatment
Sage Sea offers addiction treatment services at the general outpatient level. This means no more than 1 to 3 hours per week. General outpatient is normally considered a “step-down” after someone has successfully completed higher level treatment (i.e. Inpatient, Partial Care, and/or Intensive Outpatient programs) but it can also be used as an “early intervention” for those who display risk factors for “disordered use.” This level of care can be great for those with busy schedules and works best for people with strong community-based supports already in place.
